This was our first time visiting Yosemite NP, and turned out to be one of our favorite photoshoots of 2023! We began by driving through the park with our friend Lauren, from Eichar Photography, to a large waterfall where Ray and Kyle braved the chilly mist for some dramatic photos. Due to large amounts of rain this winter, the waterfall was roaring and spraying us from afar. Next, we stopped along the trail for some images of these two with the falling mist, lit up by the setting sun. We then moved on to one of Lauren's favorite locations where the late afternoon light cast a warm glow through the trees as we posed them on two different stumps along the road. However, where there had once been an open field with prairie grass, there was now a large pond. The park had filled with rainwater and snowmelt so many of Yosemite's favorite photography spots were flooded. This didn't stop us from getting great images of these two, and we moved on to the famous tunnel view, and the surrounding rocky areas for sunset. Shooting this engagement was a dream and Ray and Kyle couldn't have been more amazing! As wedding photographers themselves, these two were a joy to collaborate with and share appreciation for these gorgeous landscapes.
